How much Stan's sealant should I pour into my tyres during a fresh tubeless setup?

The exact fluid ounce dosage depends strictly on your tyre volume profile. For a standard 700x28c to 32c tubeless road setup, apply roughly 30ml to 60ml per wheel. Gravel bike configurations tracking 700x38c to 45c demand 60ml to 90ml. For standard mountain bike tyres—such as a 29x2.3" to 2.5" cross-country or trail casing—inject 90ml to 120ml per wheel to secure a robust, long-lasting protective pool.

Does this original formula wash out easily, and can I inject it directly through my valve stem?

Yes, absolutely. Stan's Original formulation features a beautifully thin, low-viscosity profile that allows you to easily inject it through an empty valve stem after unthreading the Presta valve core with a removal tool. This method bypasses the mess of popping the tyre bead off the rim. If you ever need to swap tyres or replace a rim, the natural latex base is water-soluble, meaning you can cleanly wipe or rinse old liquid residue out of the inside of the casing using a damp workshop rag and standard warm water.
