This is SRAM's Flattop chain, built specifically for SRAM's 12- and 13-speed wireless road, gravel, and cross drivetrains. It uses a flat-topped, asymmetric link profile that's narrower than a standard chain, with hard chrome-plated links and hollow pins to save weight.

It comes with SRAM's Flattop PowerLock master link included, and ships at 126 links — enough for most standard setups, with excess links removed during installation if needed.

Can I use this on a Shimano or SRAM Eagle mountain drivetrain?

No. This Flattop chain uses roller diameters and link geometry built specifically for SRAM's road/gravel X-Range chainrings and cassettes. It won't seat correctly on a Shimano 12-speed system or an Eagle 1x12 mountain setup — those need their own compatible chain.

Is the PowerLock reusable once opened?

No — the Flattop PowerLock is single-use. Opening it with tools deforms the internal locking tabs, so reusing it risks the chain separating under load. Always fit a fresh PowerLock when reassembling.
