Do these plugs work on older SeaSucker racks, or do I need a HUSKE base?

These plugs are designed exclusively to lock into SeaSucker’s updated HUSKE (Hubs with Universal Smart Kit Engineering) fork mount base, which features an open, molded center block. If your SeaSucker rack (such as a Talon, Mini Bomber, or Bomber model) was manufactured with the newer HUSKE green or black housing, these plugs snap straight into it.

Can I leave these plugs snapped inside the rack housing, or will they rust in wet weather?

You can confidently leave them installed on your vehicle rack year-round. SeaSucker constructs these technical plugs using high-grade machined aluminum backed by a durable hard-anodized protective coating. This chemical seal makes them highly resistant to corrosion from coastal humidity, intense afternoon downpours, and UV exposure.
