The Muc-Off V2 tubeless valve is machined from 7075 aircraft-grade aluminum and solves a specific problem with V1-style valves: a foam rim insert pressed against the valve's central hole can block airflow entirely. The V2 adds 6 lateral slots around the base so air and sealant can travel sideways around the insert.

It ships with a removable Presta core (for injecting sealant without unseating the tire bead) and a slotted valve cap that doubles as a core-removal tool, plus three pairs of interchangeable rubber grommets to seal cleanly across different rim well shapes.

What's actually different about the V2 versus the older V1 valve?

The V1 had a single vertical air hole down the center, which a foam rim insert could press flat against, blocking airflow entirely. The V2's 6 lateral slots let air and sealant travel around the insert instead, so inflation and pressure checks stay reliable even with inserts fitted.

Which length do I need for my wheels?

You want 15-20mm of stem protruding beyond your rim for a pump head to clamp on properly. 44mm suits shallow rims up to 24mm deep, 60mm covers mid-depth rims (25-40mm), and 80mm is for deep aero rims up to 60mm without needing an extender.
