Road and cross-country helmets are optimized for direct top-down impacts on flat asphalt. Mountain bike crashes are less predictable — you're more likely to fall backward or sideways on loose terrain — so the Rogue extends further down the back of the skull and temples to cover that risk.

Can I fit goggles under the visor?

Yes — the visor tilts up with one hand, opening space on the forehead to park your goggles or glasses on long climbs.
