FAQ

Why should I wear an extra layer like a base layer on a hot daylight ride?

It sounds counterintuitive, but a mesh base layer actively keeps you cooler than wearing a cycling jersey directly against bare skin. Raw sweat can pool on your skin or saturate your jersey panels, making them heavy, sticky, and hot. The Second Skin's 3D mesh matrix acts as a high-speed siphon—it pulls moisture away instantly, using the wind passing through your jersey to flash-evaporate the sweat, establishing a highly efficient personal cooling system.

How tight should the Gobik Second Skin base layer fit?

It is designed to fit like a true second skin. For the moisture-wicking tech to perform at its peak, the mesh fabric must sit flush against your skin across your entire torso. The high-stretch mechanical weave accommodates a wide range of body profiles without feeling restrictive or binding your breathing, mapping perfectly to your standard Gobik jersey size.
