With the Varia RTL515 radar you are definitely safer on the road. On the one hand, the bright rear light increases your visibility in the dark, but also during the day. The highlight is the built-in radar system, which warns you of vehicles approaching you from behind.
It would be nice if you also had eyes on the back of your head. The Varia RTL515 replaces this and is an early warning system for you. It monitors the area behind your back and detects vehicles from a distance of 140 m. The information can then be displayed graphically and acoustically on your Garmin Edge bike computer or smartphone. There is even a color distinction between the speed at which a car approaches and the distance to you. With red there are eight.
Of course, you should not switch off your mind with this ingenious tool and continue to be attentive.
Thanks to various rubber inserts, the basic holder can be mounted on practically every seat post, including oval ones. The slim design prevents the legs from touching when pedaling and does not interfere with the aerodynamics of your bike.
