The DMT KM3 is a lightweight cross-country and gravel racing shoe using a full Engineered 3D Knit upper with variable-thickness zones — extra density at high-pressure points, open mesh for airflow elsewhere — paired with a fully rigid carbon outsole for zero-flex power transfer.

A single BOA® IP1 dial gives bi-directional micro-adjustment, letting you click the fit tighter or looser one notch at a time without releasing full tension, and the toe box and side panels carry anti-abrasion coatings against rock strikes and trail brush.

FAQ

How does the KM3 compare to the mid-tier KM4?

The KM4 uses a hybrid mesh upper and a nylon composite outsole with some flex, suited to daily trail riding. The KM3 moves to a full knit upper, a bi-directional BOA IP1 dial, and a full carbon outsole for zero-flex power transfer — built for racing rather than everyday comfort.

How do I clean the knit upper after a muddy ride?

The knit is pre-treated with a water- and grime-resistant coating. Wipe down with a damp cloth or soft brush using warm water and mild soap, and air dry away from direct heat — avoid machine washing or harsh solvents.
