Will an 80mm valve stem fit my specific deep-section aero wheels?

Yes, this stem length is optimized for deep rims. As a general rule of thumb, you need at least 15mm to 20mm of valve stem protruding from the rim to allow your pump head to clamp on securely. An 80mm valve is for carbon rims with depths of 45mm, 50mm, 55mm, and 60mm. If you are running shallow, traditional aluminum training wheels (under 30mm depth), we recommend using a shorter 42mm or 60mm Continental Presta valve tube instead.

Why is the Removable Valve Core (RVC) a critical feature for road tubes?

The removable valve core provides two major advantages. First, if you ride on puncture-prone roads, you can unscrew the core and inject a liquid tyre sealant (like Stan's NoTubes or Orange Seal) directly into the tube to instantly seal up thorns and wire punctures on the fly. Second, if you upgrade to ultra-deep 80mm or disc wheels, you can unscrew the core, thread on a secure inline valve extender, and reinstall the core at the very top of the extension, preventing annoying air-leaks when pumping.
