FAQ

How does the GP5000 AS TR differ from the standard GP5000 S TR racing tyre?

While the standard S TR focuses entirely on pure, minimal-weight racing speed, the AS TR (All Season) is tuned for durability and weather tracking. The AS TR features a thicker, highly robust tread compound that delivers substantially higher mileage and vastly superior wet asphalt cornering grip. Additionally, it features an extra casing layer that drastically increases sidewall puncture resistance, making it the choice for endurance loops, commuting, and variable wet weather conditions.

Are these cream sidewalls easy to clean after riding through muddy or wet roads?

Yes. Unlike older traditional cotton casing tan-walls that easily absorb grease and water stains, Continental’s cream sidewall is integrated into a modern rubber compound layer. This makes the sidewalls highly resistant to chemical staining and road grime. Simply wash them down with standard bicycle wash solutions or mild soap and a soft brush to quickly restore that clean, factory aesthetic.
