The CeramicSpeed OSPW RS 5-Spoke uses a reinforced carbon-polyamide cage designed to resist flexing during hard, out-of-the-saddle sprinting — earlier open-cage designs could flex slightly under extreme torque, causing minor shift inconsistency.

It pairs oversized 13-tooth upper and 19-tooth lower pulleys with hand-built ceramic bearings, and includes a 2-stage adjustable spring tension so you or your mechanic can tune it for flat-road speed or extra chain security on rough tarmac.

FAQ

How does the RS cage improve on earlier CeramicSpeed OSPW cages?

Standard cages could flex slightly under extreme sprint torque, causing a small delay in shift tracking. The RS uses a thicker, faceted carbon-polyamide profile that resists that lateral flex, keeping the chain aligned across modern 12-speed cassettes during hard efforts.

What does the 2-stage spring tension actually do?

It lets you or a mechanic adjust how tightly the cage holds chain tension — lower for reduced drag on smooth, flat racing, or higher for extra chain security on rougher tarmac where vibration could otherwise cause chain slap.
